This workshop aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the complexities surrounding cyber risk and the insurance solutions designed to mitigate those risks. Participant will become equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the evolving landscape of cyber threats and effectively manage cyber insurance policies.
At the end of the session, participants will:
- Understand the key principles of Cyber Liability Insurance
- Gain insight into Cyber risk, its regulatory and legal considerations
- Understand cyber liability insurance coverage
- Be exposed to key policy terms and conditions
- Become knowledgeable on Exclusions in Cyber Liability Policies
- Understand the claims process and risk management best practices
- Explore case studies and real world applications
Mr. Dookeran, a member of the TTII’s Board of Governors is a senior insurance practitioner for more than 20 years. He is currently an Executive Director of a leading brokerage firm and has honed his skills in underwriting in all classes of General Insurance Business.
Navin is the holder of a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the Heriot Watt University, Advanced Diploma in Insurance (ACII) from the Chartered Insurance Institute London and an Associate in Risk Management (ARM) from the American Insurance Institute. He also attended the prestigious Alois Alzheimer Scholarship at Munich Re in Germany where he learned further insurance, reinsurance and business principles over the 6-month period.
Mr. Dookeran is a part-time lecturer with the TTII, and has lectured at the University of the West Indies for the Insurance and Risk Management Degree Programme. He also conducts several in-house training programmes in all classes of General Insurance Business and has served as Chairman of the Underwriting Committee for the Association of Trinidad and Tobago Insurance Companies (ATTIC).
