This workshop is designed to provide participants with the knowledge, skills and confidence to understand how underwriting for group and individual health insurance differ, the difference between critical illness and health insurance and the importance of each.
At the end of the session participants will be able to:
- Understand how to set expectations with respect to health claims, the use of R&C, deductibles and Coinsurance with Claim settlements
- Understand some of the exclusions and limitations, pre-existing conditions, request for overseas treatment, provider networks
- Define Health Insurance
- Summarize the benefits of health coverage
- Differentiate between health products and other types of life products
Mrs. Dawn Narine Dalip has been an insurance professional for the past thirty-seven (37) years and has held many positions at the senior Executive Level with local and regional experience and responsibilities in 13 territories across the Caribbean. She currently serves as TTII’s Vice President of the Council of Trustees, while lecturing for Long-Term workshops hosted by TTII; and is a former Director and Vice President – Life of ATTIC. Currently, Mrs. Narine Dalip is a part time lecturer at the University of the West Indies for the Management Studies Department in the BSc. Insurance and Risk Management.
