This interactive workshop is intended to provide participants with insight into the living benefits (disability benefits) and the underwriting requirements for these plans. These benefits can be offered on an individual basis or through participation in a Group. Participants will understand the difference between illness and disability, and the general claims process associated with such. Additionally, they will comprehend how Group and Individual cover may differ with respect to the underwriting.
At the end of the session participants will be able to:
- Understand the risk management strategy that this address and the risks that are transferred to a third party
- Understand the various types of products offered in the market and align risks and products accordingly
- Understand the target market that these products are best suited
- Understand what risks are not covered
Mrs. Dawn Narine Dalip has been in the Insurance Industry since 1988 and has held many positions at the senior Executive Level with local and regional experience and responsibilities in 13 territories across the Caribbean. She is a former Director of ATTIC and served as the Vice President for Life. Currently Mrs. Narine Dalip is a part time lecturer at the University of the West Indies for the Management Studies Department in the BSc. Insurance and Risk Management.
