Ethics & Social Media for Insurance Intermediaries

This interactive workshop is designed to educate participants on the ethical use of social media for insurance professionals. The learnings can be applied by all intermediaries and also those managing independent insurance agencies.

At the end of the session, participants will be able to:

• Understand how to avoid misrepresentation in the promotion of products and services
• Understand crediting, attribution and content ownership
• Understand client privacy, client confidentiality and safeguarding information
• Manage the divide between personal and professional social media

Chenoa Marquis is a specialist in digital solutions with 9+ years of local and regional experience under her belt covering diverse sectors from media to financial services to oil and gas. She has worked extensively on org-wide digital strategy projects as well as end-to-end execution of major digital marketing campaigns, ideation and oversight of website and mobile application development, and experiential and interactive digital solutions. Chenoa holds degrees from Bryn Mawr College and Oxford University and has delivered bespoke digital training for a number of local and regional organisations including Massy, Republic Bank and Unit Trust. She has also been a key member of the co-ordination team for several digital conferences. She believes in the power of digital to provide elegant and effective solutions to business problems and to create lasting connections between customers and companies.
