This highly interactive specialised workshop is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and insight about the role of an investigator. The workshop outlines the skills and techniques used by an investigator when conducting an interview to capture key information requested by Insurers. The workshop also provides a template and structure for the report, so the investigator can confidently document the interview process with both witnesses or parties involved, and submit this report to Insurers, thus influencing decisions on insurance matters.
At the end of the session, participants will:
• Understand the role of the investigator in the claims process
• Gain insight into human behaviour and understand how this supports the interview / investigation process.
• Gain knowledge about the techniques of negotiation & influence during an interview to gather information.
• Discern the subtle nuances in an interviewee response and whether the person is being dishonest or truthful.
• Become familiar with the stages involved in conducting the interview and documenting the findings.
