The Property Loss Adjusting Programme 2017!

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for the Property Loss Adjusting Programme (PLAP) Module 1.

 

Module 1 – Property Insurance – Principles & Practice

This Programme is intended to provide students with the knowledge, standards and ethical behaviour required by licensed practitioners in the industry. It is also a prerequisite for entry into Module II of the PLA Programme. Students will at the end of this module gain a thorough understanding of the key principles and legal considerations affecting property insurance and how to apply them in practice.

Module 2 – Property Insurance Claims – Principles & Practice

This Module is designed to provide students with the knowledge, standards and ethical behaviour required by licensed practitioners in the industry. It is also a prerequisite for entry into Module III of the PLA Programme. Students will at the end of this module gain a thorough understanding of the key principles and legal implications involved in property insurance claims, the claims process and how to apply them in practice. Additionally a Certificate in Property Insurance Claims will be awarded to successful candidates completing both Modules I and II.

Module 3 – Property Insurance Claims – Investigation

This Module is designed to provide students with the knowledge, standards and practical skills required by licensed practitioners in the industry. It is also a prerequisite for entry into Module 4 – Property Insurance Claims - Adjusting of the PLA Programme. Students will at the end of this module gain a thorough understanding of the key principles of investigative implications involved in property insurance claims, investigative report writing and how to apply them in practice. Additionally a Certificate in Property Insurance Claims Investigation will be awarded to successful candidates completing Modules I, II and III.

 

Module  4 – Property Insurance Claims – Adjusting

This Module is designed to provide students with the knowledge, standards and practical skills required by licensed practitioners in the industry. It is also the last Module required for completion of the PLA Programme. Students will at the end of this module gain a thorough understanding of the key principles of adjusting, property damage appraisals, survey report writing and how to apply them in practice. Students will also be required to do site visits to gain hands-on insight into adjusting and property components.  Additionally a Diploma in Property Loss Adjusting will be awarded to successful candidates completing Modules I, II, III and IV.

 

The Fees for ALL modules must be PAID IN FULL prior to the start of classes  and  covers registration, class tuition, materials and examination fees. See attached the 2017 PLAP Brochure and Registration Form.
